C.O.L.A. INFORMATION: We have been informed by the UAW National Ford Department that the three-month average for August, September and October is 192.43, yielding minus five cents (-5¢) per hour. Therefore, effective December 4th, the total cost-of-living received in your paycheck will be one dollar and ninety-nine cents ($1.99) per hour.

DECEMBER ELIGIBLE EMPLOYEES: Employees with unused vacation or personal time hours, pay-ending November 24th will be paid on Friday December 1st.

NEXT PAID HOLIDAYS: Monday December 25th, 2006 through Monday January 1st, 2007 — Christmas Holidays

SHIFT PREFERENCE SIGN UP: Sign-up for shift preference is scheduled for the week of December 4th through midnight December 8th in Human Resources.

FLU SHOTS will be available to the public at Local 2000 Union Hall on Saturday December 2nd from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The cost will be $10.00 per person. Medicare will be billed for Medicare cardholders.

CLOTHE-A-CHILD COLLECTION: Our annual collection will be held Friday December 8th in the plant. Local 2000 and Ohio Assembly have historically been the largest contributors to the Clothe-A-Child. Please remember to bring a cash donation.

LUNCH WITH SANTA: The Women’s Committee is sponsoring a Lunch with Santa at the local union hall on Saturday December 9th from 11:30 AM through 2:30 PM. Lunch will include a hot dog, chips and beverage. There will also be crafts and kids can get their picture with Santa. Tickets must be purchased in advance from Committee members or from the union hall. Donation is $5.00 per ticket. Committee members are: Paula Weaver, Christine Wengerd, Elba Cordova, Arlene Spurlock, Patty Roberts, Angela Amstutz, Ida Hess and Melissa Qualls.

GATE COLLECTION: $2,697.00 was collected at the plant on Friday November 17th to feed the needy. This money, along with Donations from Local 2000, Local 2000 Retirees, Women’s and Veteran’s Committees, food donated at the plant, Local 425 Retirees, Lorain County UAW-CAP Council, Lorain County Labor Agency, OPEIU Local 17, IAM Local 1802 and Nordson salaried employees, Lorain County AFL-CIO, IBEW Local 129 and Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 42 provided 123 families or 282 people with a full Thanksgiving dinner. Thanks to those who contributed and special thanks to those who volunteered for the gate collection and for distribution of the food.

FEEL BETTER BUDDIES COLLECTION: Over $3,500.00 was collected through the gate collection, Local 2000, Local 2000 Retirees, the Veteran’s Committee, a 50/50 raffle, the local Browns Backers and GenFed Credit Union members to purchase stuffed animals and books for children at Kohl’s Department Store. We will continue taking stuffed animals and books to the children at Northeast Ohio hospitals through Christmas.

LASER SMOKING CESSATION IS NOW AVAILABLE for Ford hourly and salaried employees. ESSP and Total Health are funding the treatment. Sign up will be in front of the main cafeteria in the administration building and at the old cafeteria on the Miller Road side of the plant. Appointments for the treatments will be from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM every half-hour on December 11th. December 12th – 14th and December 18th – 21st.

SUPPLEMENTAL OPT OFF POOL FOR NON-APPENDIX F SKILLED TRADES is December 1st through December 31st, 2006 (effective January 2nd, 2007).
