C.O.L.A. RAISE: You will be receiving a cost of living raise of forty-five cents (45¢) effective Monday December 5th, 2005. Therefore, the total cost-of-living received in your paycheck will be one dollar and sixty-one cents ($1.61) per hour.

TENTATIVE LAYOFF: Paint and Body shop are tentatively scheduled to be on layoff during the week of December 19th, 2005.

DECEMBER ELIGIBLE EMPLOYEES: Employees with unused vacation or personal time hours, pay-ending November 27th, 2005 will be paid on Friday December 2nd, 2005.

CHRISTMAS BONUS: The bonus will be available on Friday December 2nd to eligible workers. BONUSES ARE BASED ON THE FOLLOWING SCHEDULE: Pay periods worked: 26 weeks or more - $600 Bonus; 20 through 25 weeks worked - $450 Bonus; 13 through 19 weeks worked - $300 Bonus. The eligibility year is November 15, 2004 through November 13th, 2005. Union dues will be deducted. Members who are working will receive their bonus check through the normal distribution.

SHIFT PREFERENCE SIGN UP: Sigh up for shift preference is scheduled for the week of December 5th through midnight December 9th, 2005 in Human Resources.

SUPPLEMENTAL OPT OFF POOL FOR NON-APPENDIX F SKILLED TRADES is December 1st through December 31st, 2005 (effective January 3rd, 2006).

CONGRATULATIONS to Chris Viscomi, Skilled Trades Chairman. Chris was unanimously elected to be a National Negotiator at the Skilled Trades Sub Council 3 Meeting.

CLOTHE-A-CHILD COLLECTION: Our annual collection will be held Friday December 9th in the plant. Local 2000/Ohio Assembly have historically been the largest contributors to the Clothe-A-Child. Please remember to bring a cash donation.

GATE COLLECTION: $1,579.00 was collected at the plant on Friday November 18th, 2005 to feed the needy. This money, along with $950.00 from the membership of Local 2000, the Women’s and Veterans Committees, Local 2000 Retirees and Lorain County UAW CAP Council, totaled $2,529.00 and provided 94 families or 214 people with a full Thanksgiving dinner. Thank you to all who contributed.

UPCOMING PAID HOLIDAYS: Christmas holiday period: December 26th through January 2nd (returning to work January 3rd, 2006).

UAW / FORD SHOPPING NIGHT AT TOYS-Я-US: Sunday December 4th, 2005 from 7-10 PM at 1601 West River Road, Elyria location. Family and friends welcome. There will be refreshments, door prizes and a 10% discount off purchase total. Door prizes and the 10% discount are for Ford employees and their families. Ford ID will be required to receive prizes and discount.
