NEXT PAID HOLIDAYS:
November 23rd — Thanksgiving (you must work Wed. Nov. 22nd or have an approved absence to be paid
November 24th — Day after Thanksgiving
December 25th through January 1st, 2007 — Christmas Holidays

SHIFT START TIME CHANGE: On Wednesday November 22nd, the 3rd shift will start at 3:30 PM.

SPECIAL INCENTIVE PACKAGES: The window of opportunity to sign up for any of the voluntary buyout packages ends on November 27, 2006 at 12:00 midnight.

CHRISTMAS BONUS: The Christmas bonus will be available on Friday December 1st to eligible workers. Bonuses are based on the following schedule: Pay periods worked: 26 weeks or more - $600 bonus; 20 through 25 weeks worked - $450 bonus; 13 through 19 weeks worked - $300 bonus. The eligibility year is November 14th, 2005 through November 12th, 2006. Union dues will be deducted. Members who are working will receive their bonus check through the normal distribution.

GATE COLLECTION: A gate collection will be held this Friday (November 17th) to collect money to purchase food for the needy within Lorain County. We are hoping that they, too, will have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

SHIFT PREFERENCE SIGN UP: Sign up for shift preference is scheduled for the week of December 4th through midnight December 8th in Human Resources.

SUPPLEMENTAL OPT OFF POOL FOR NON-APPENDIX F SKILLED TRADES is December 1st through December 31st, 2006 (effective January 2nd, 2007).

CLOTHE-A-CHILD COLLECTION: Our annual collection will be held Friday December 8th in the plant. Local 2000 and Ohio Assembly have historically been the largest contributors to the Clothe-A-Child. Please remember to bring a cash donation.

LUNCH WITH SANTA: The Women’s Committee is sponsoring a Lunch with Santa at the local union hall on Saturday December 9th from 11:30 AM through 2:30 PM. Lunch will include a hot dog, chips and beverage. There will also be crafts and kids can get their picture with Santa. Tickets must be purchased in advance from Committee members or from the union hall. Donation is $5.00 per ticket. Committee members are: Paula Weaver, Christine Wengerd, Elba Cordova, Arlene Spurlock, Patty Roberts, Angela Amstutz, Ida Hess and Melissa Qualls.

VETERANS’ COMMITTEE COLLECTION: Thank you to all who donated to the Veterans’ Committee gate collection for the homeless veterans. A total of $1,912.62 was collected.
