INFORMATION BULLETIN - October 27, 2004

ELECTION DAY: Tuesday, November 2nd, Federal Election Day is a scheduled day off with pay, to exercise your "Right to Vote". Don't lose this negotiated day off... Please VOTE... As all other paid holidays, you must work Monday, November 1st and Wednesday, November 3rd, the day after, or have approved day(s) off to be paid for election day. Again, be sure to VOTE...

UAW CAP RECOMMENDATIONS: You should have received, in the mail, this week, the UAW CAP recommendations. The recommendations are made by the delegates of CAP Council. We have nine UAW locals in Lorain County, each local has delegates that vote for which candidates to recommend. The candidates voting record or stance on issues, pertaining to working families and social issues are considered. Please consider voting for the UAW CAP recommendations. Having Election Day off with pay, is something most workers dont have.

BE A PART OF THIS HISTORIC ELECTION: Volunteers are needed for poll watchers, drivers, literature drops, etc. If you would like to work any part of election day, please call the union hall by Friday, October 29th, by 5:00 p.m., 934-3151 ext 21.
