INFORMATION BULLETIN -
September 27, 2007
National
and local negotiations are continuing with Ford Motor Company. The
UAW and Ford still have an indefinite extension on negotiations.
There has been no information released to the local union structure
regarding ongoing negotiations with the UAW International and the
company.
In the event of a strike at Ford, all
employees that are full time, TPT’s and TFT’s must participate in a
strike activity assigned to you by the local union on the dates and
times specified (picket duty, etc.). There are no exceptions to this
rule.
Members will be determined not
eligible to receive Strike Assistance under the following
conditions: (a) if unemployed prior to the strike; (b) if receiving
sick and accident benefits (medical); (c) if receiving worker’s
compensation benefits; or (d) if you earn gross wages of $200.00 or
more per week during the strike.
In the event that a strike deadline
is given, official picket assignments will be located in the
plant on the bulletin boards near the turnstile entrances. Please do
not remove them from the bulletin boards. They will also be
available at the local union hall, on our web site at
www.uawlocal2000.org and all District Committeepersons will have a
copy of the picket assignments.
SUB PAY PROBLEMS: If you have
not received your sub pay from the vacation shutdown period, please
call the processing center that sent you your determination of
unemployment compensation benefits. If your determination notice
does not show your allocation vacation pay amount, explain to the
processor the number of hours you were paid vacation time and
request a complete copy of all your paperwork from their files.
