IN THE NEWS: Much has been in the news and on the radio this week about the "consolidation". As of today, Thursday, June 10, 2004, we, the Local Union Leadership have NOT been informed of any decision by the Company. There has NOT been any release of "OFFICIAL" information to the news media. The rumors and the speculation will continue until the official announcement is made. When this information is official, your Local Union Leadership certainly hopes and expects the announcement to be heard by, you, the membership, before it hits any news media. Our vehicles now, and in the past, are not just popular by design or by accident. The workers of the past and present deserve much of the credit for the quality craftsmanship of our vehicles. You, also, deserve to be the first to be told of what the future holds for you. We must continue to do what we do best, build the best quality vehicles possible, not only for our future, but for our families, our plant, and our company. This is the only part of our destiny we can control.

UAW LOCAL 2000 ANNUAL PICNIC: This year's annual picnic is scheduled for Saturday, August 14th at Geauga Lake. Be sure to set this date aside for a fun filled day with family and friends. Further information will be in our next bulletin.
