INFORMATION BULLETIN - May 9, 2008

RUN-OFF ELECTION: There will be a Run-Off Election for the positions of 2nd Vice President, Trustees and Skilled Trades Chairperson/Committeeperson on Tuesday, May 13th, 2008 from 12:00 noon to Wednesday, May 14th at 12:00 noon (24 hours). The election trailers will be located on the Abbe Road side of the plant near the administration building. Members must present their Ohio Assembly ID card or other suitable ID at the time of voting.

Each candidate is allowed a challenger. The identity of your challenger(s) must be provided in writing to the Election Committee Chairman (Brenda Davis) no less than 1 hour prior to the opening of the polls. Challengers must report to the registration table to receive badge and rules. The Election Committee of UAW Local 2000 thanks you in advance for your cooperation.

Swearing in of Officers will be held at the June 8th Membership Meeting.

Below, please find the official results of the May 6th, 2008 U.A.W. Local 2000 General Election. On behalf of all the candidates, we would like to thank you, the membership, for a great voter turnout. Eighty-four percent (84%) of all members voted.

If you have not yet picked up your jacket, you must do so by next Thursday, May 15th by 10:00 PM at the Q-28 aisle union office, just outside the cafeteria. Please see one of the ERC’s for your jacket.

THE NEXT MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP MEETING will be on May 18th at 2:30 PM at Southview High School, 2270 East 42nd Street in Lorain.
