TENTATIVE DOWN WEEK: The week of May 19th is still a scheduled down week. As always, schedules are subject to change.

TENTATIVE DOWN WEEK IN JULY: Chairman Nick Gallogly has been advised by Plant Manager Joe Lee that the week of July 21st is a tentative down week. As always, schedules are subject to change.

MESSAGE FROM THE ELECTION COMMITTEE: Polls will be open Tuesday, May 6th at 12:00 noon until Wednesday, May 7th at 12:00 noon. Members must present their Ohio Assembly ID card or other suitable ID at the time of voting.
Each candidate is allowed a challenger. However, the committee recommends designating one challenger for more than one candidate due to space limitations. The identity of your challenger(s) must be provided in writing to the Election Committee Chairman (Brenda Davis) no less than 1 hour prior to the opening of the polls. Challengers must report to the registration table to receive badge and rules. The Election Committee of UAW Local 2000 thanks you in advance for your cooperation. The election trailers will be located on the Abbe Road side of the plant near the administration building.

ABSENTEE VOTING: Per membership action at the April 13th membership meeting, absentee voting will be permitted per the UAW International Constitution. ONLY those on official union or company business are eligible to vote. Absentee ballots will be available at the union hall.

MEMBERS TAKING RETIREMENT PACKAGES should come to the union hall to pick up their retirement items. Please note: Be sure to check your last pay stub to be sure union dues have not been withdrawn. If you find they have, please come to the office with your pay stub and we will take your information and provide reimbursement for the dues withdrawn in error. Reimbursement checks will be cut the week following your request and mailed to your home.

NEXT PAID HOLIDAY: Our next paid holiday is Memorial Day, Monday, May 26th. You must work Tuesday May 27th, the day after to the holiday to receive holiday pay, or have an excused absence for that day but you MUST work your next scheduled day.
