INFORMATION BULLETIN - April 2, 2007

COMPETITIVE OPERATING AGREEMENT (COA): On Sunday, April 1, 2007, Unit 1 ratified the COA. Eighty-two percent (82%) of the membership voted to ratify the agreement. Chairman Nick Gallogly and I had planned to post the results in the plant this morning and follow up with this bulletin so our membership could hear this information from us before reading about it in the local newspapers. It is regretful that it didn’t work out that way. Thanks to all who took time out of their busy schedule to attend the meeting and vote.

NEXT PAID HOLIDAYS: Good Friday, April 6th and the day after Easter, April 9th are our next paid holidays. You must work Thursday April 5th, the day prior to the holiday, and Tuesday April 10th, the day after the holiday, to receive holiday pay, or have an excused absence for that day but you MUST work your next scheduled day. Example: If you have April 10th and 11th off with an excused absence, you STILL MUST WORK April 12th to get paid for the holiday.

HOLIDAY CONVERSION: Books will be open in Human Resources for eligible hourly employees who work and wish to convert the holidays.
