CONSOLIDATION OF OHIO ASSEMBLY AND LORAIN ASSEMBLY PLANT:
To this date the Leadership of UAW Local 2000 has NOT met with Ford Motor Company or been informed as to when or how the consolidation will occur. When the Leadership of UAW Local 2000 meets to discuss the consolidation, you, the Membership, will be informed on the facts, not hearsay or speculation as to what the future holds for all of us.

NEXT PAID HOLIDAYS:
Good Friday, April 9, 2004 and the day after Easter, April 12TH, are our next paid holidays. You must work Thursday, April 8, 2004, the day prior to the holiday and Tuesday, April 13TH, to receive holiday pay, or have an excused absence for that day, but MUST work your next scheduled day.

HOLIDAY CONVERSION:
Books will be open in Human Resources for eligible hourly employees who work and wish to convert the holidays. Good Friday sign up will be the week of April 5th through April 9, and the Monday after Easter, sign up will be the week of April 13th through 16th.

NATIONAL UAW FORD AND SUB COUNCILS 2, 3 & 8, MEETINGS:
The Chairmen, two (2) Bargaining Committeemen from each Unit, Skilled Trades Chairmen and myself will be attending these meetings April 5th through April 8th. Jerome Williams, 1st Vice President, will be replacing me as President and can be reached at the Local or pager 059. The Unit Chairmen will list their replacements for those attending this conference in their respective Units.

UNIT 1 (ECONOLINE) ESSP OFFICE MOVED:
Dale Warren's office has been moved to the Material Control/Central Engineering Office, just past the Medical Department. Dale can still be reached at extension 1423.

VACATION SHUTDOWN:
The Local Union has been advised that vacation shutdown will be the weeks of July 5th and July 12th, 2004.

GEN FED CREDIT UNION:
Your credit union, Gen Fed, is available to all hourly and salary Ford employees and their immediate family members for all of their financial needs. Gen Fed Credit Union has two offices, 228 Miller Road, Avon Lake, 933-8616 and 5730 Baumhart Road, Lorain, 282-4606.

NEXT UNION MEETING:
Due to Easter falling on the second Sunday of April the Membership voted at the March meeting to change the April meeting to April 4, 2004 at 2:30 p.m. at the local union hall.
