INFORMATION BULLETIN -
March 23, 2005
ON THE CONSOLIDATION: Meetings have occurred between your local
union representatives and skilled trade representatives from both
units and the company. We have seen an overview of the blueprints
after the Mariner build is complete for the new Econoline trim and
chassis departments. The trades were able to raise concerns and give
input in this first meeting concerning their respective trades.
TIMELINES FOR COMPLETION ARE AS
FOLLOWS: Last build date for the Mariner is August 26th, 2005.
The first build date for PP1 of the Econoline here is December 5th,
2005 (dates subject to change).
The Union is working to secure all
available work from being outsourced to outside contractors. As more
information is available, the membership will be kept informed in
future Information Bulletins.
