PERFORMANCE
BONUS: All UAW-Ford hourly employees will receive a $1,000.00
(one thousand dollar) performance bonus on March 13th. These
performance bonus awards are based on achieving significant progress
in 2007. However, the amount will be subject to deductions for
taxes, income withholding orders, bankruptcies, healthcare dependent
audits and disability audits where applicable.
COST OF LIVING ALLOWANCE: We
have been informed by the UAW National Ford Department that the
three-month average for November and December of 2007 and January of
2008 is 199.78, yielding twenty-eight cents (28˘) per hour. From
this twenty-eight (28˘), there are diversions of thirteen cents
(13˘) made up of a five cent (5˘) diversion from the 2006 Settlement
and eight cents (8˘) from the 2007 Collective Bargaining Agreement.
The net gain after the two diversions is fifteen cents (15˘).
Therefore, effective March 3rd, 2008, the total
cost-of-living received in your paycheck will be twenty-four cents
(24˘) per hour.
PAYCHECK INFORMATION:
Paychecks for the week ending March 9th will be distributed on
Friday, March 14th by the main cafeteria between 9:00 AM and 1:00
PM.
BENEFITS OFFICE DURING DOWN WEEK:
Benefits Representative Ron Bills will be working at his office
at the union hall during the down week.
UNEMPLOYMENT INFORMATION FOR DOWN
WEEK OF 3/10/08 – 3/14/08: Please click link below for complete information and instructions on filing your
unemployment for the upcoming down week from the Ohio Department of
Jobs and Family Services (ODJFS). PLEASE FOLLOW THE ODJFS
INSTRUCTIONS VERY CAREFULLY.
The ODJFS instructions are available
in Human Resources, at the union hall and will also be posted on our
website at www.uawlocal2000.org.
If a Personal Identification
Number (PIN) was previously provided to you from another claim, be
sure to have it available. If you no longer have this PIN, call
1.877.644.6562 immediately.
ENTERPRISE WIDE BUYOUT PACKAGES (EWBll):
Applications for retirement/incentive packages during the down
week will be accepted in Human Resources from 7:00 AM to
8:00 PM Monday through Friday.
The open window period to sign up
for any package will be from now through March 18th, 2008. The open
window period will not be extended because of the down week.
THE ELECTION COMMITTEE ELECTION
will be held at Southview High School on March 9th. Polls will
be open from 12:00 PM (noon) to 5:00 PM.
LORAIN COUNTY UAW-CAP COUNCIL
MONTHLY MEETING will be held on March 6th at 7:30 PM at UAW
Local 2192 (formerly UAW LOCAL 425), which is located on Baumhart
Road in Lorain. The special guest speaker will be Detective Steve
Perry from the Lorain Police Department. The topic of discussion
will be “How to Protect Yourself from Identity Theft.” Everyone is
welcome to attend.
THE NEXT MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP
MEETING will be on March 9th at 2:30 PM at Southview High
School, 2270 East 42nd Street in Lorain.
