INFORMATION BULLETIN - March 2, 2007

TENTATIVE SATURDAYS: The company has advised Chairman Nick Gallogly and the Bargaining Structure that there will be mandatory Saturdays for both shifts on the following dates: March 3rd, March 24th, April 14th (and April 28th voluntary Saturday for both shifts) Please note: Schedules are always subject to change.

SHIFT PREFERENCE: Sign up in the Human Resources Department March 5th through midnight on Friday, March 9th.

FORD / NAVISTAR DISPUTE: There is currently a contract dispute between Ford Motor Company and Navistar International. The supplier has suspended production of the 6.4 diesel engines. A prolonged suspension of these engines could cause some loss of production for our plant. If any changes should occur, the membership will be kept informed.

REMINDER: ENROLLMENT PERIOD ENDS MARCH 5TH.
HOURLY OPTIONAL EMPLOYEE AND DEPENDENT LIFE INSURANCE:
The Limited Open Enrollment Period ends March 5th as provided in the UAW/Ford agreement. Active employees who currently have coverage under the Employee and Dependent Optional Life Insurance Plan may increase the amount of coverage one level only during the specified period regardless of their health history. To obtain the enrollment forms, contact the Optional Insurance Plan office at 1-800-742-8215. Representatives will be available at that number from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. For further information please contact Benefit Rep Ron Bills at 934-3151 ext. 29.

COST OF LIVING MARCH 5TH: We have been informed by the UAW National Ford Department that the three-month average for November and December of 2006 and January of 2007 is 191.17, yielding minus sixteen cents (-16¢) per hour. Therefore, effective March 5th, 2007, the total cost-of-living received in your paycheck will be one dollar and eighty-three cents ($1.83) per hour. There is no diversion due from our Collective Bargaining Agreement when the adjustment is negative.

U.A.W. FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP: Applications are available at the union hall for the 2007 Walter and May Reuther U.A.W. Family Scholarship being held at the U.A.W. Education Center at Black Lake in Onaway, Michigan on the weeks of July 8th through 13th, July 15th through 20th and July 22nd through 27th, 2006. A $50.00 refundable registration fee must be submitted with the application. Members must use vacation time, personal time or take a union leave of absence to attend.

NEXT PAID HOLIDAYS: Good Friday April 6th and the day after Easter, April 9th.

UNION MEETING: The next scheduled union meeting is Sunday March 11th at U.A.W. Local 2000 Union Hall.
