INFORMATION BULLETIN -
February 10, 2005FUTURE JOBS SECURED: With the
closing of the Lorain Assembly Plant, the company issued a Market
Test Letter. They planned to outsource the tire and wheel assembly
(along with many other jobs) when the Econoline is fully assembled
at the Ohio Assembly Plant. U.A.W. Local 2000 leadership was
successful in bringing those jobs to our plant. Both unit structures
are to be commended for their united effort to secure good union
jobs for the future. Both structures will continue their efforts to
bring jobs to Ohio Assembly that the company would like to
outsource.
