TENTATIVE SATURDAYS: The company
has advised Chairman Nick Gallogly and the Bargaining Structure that
there will be mandatory Saturdays for both shifts on February 11th,
2006 and February 25th, 2006. Please note: schedules are
always subject to change.
UNEMPLOYMENT INFORMATION: For
those members who may take a temporary layoff: The Ohio Department
of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) no longer has unemployment forms.
You must file for unemployment by calling 1.877.644.6562 or by
filing online at
unemployment.ohio.gov. Some information for filing your claim is
listed as follows.

You must use the claim number
provided by ODJFS for the week your layoff begins when filing
for unemployment.

PLEASE NOTE: You must
access the ODJFS website or call ODJFS TWICE to receive
benefits.

are available in Human Resources and at the union hall.
UNEMPLOYMENT DETERMINATION:
Members who may take a temporary layoff must take their ODJFS
Determination Notice to Human Resources to file for sub pay for your
waiting week. This will start your auto sub.
SPECIAL INCENTIVE PACKAGES:
Representatives from the UAW National Ford Department and Ford Motor
Company will be here from Wednesday February 8th through Friday
February 10th, 2006 to present further information regarding the
Special Incentive Packages. Benefit Representatives will also be
present with individual documents for those eligible to retire.
Please note: You must attend the information meeting scheduled for
your shift (see schedule below). Meetings will start promptly
according to schedule. Please be on time for your meeting. The first
45 minutes of these meetings are dedicated to important information
that should be heard by all attending.
Employees working 3rd shift:
Wednesday February 8th (2:30 PM – 4:45 PM) – Fountain Bleu Party
Center located on Miller Road across from the plant.
Employees working 2nd shift:
Thursday February 9th (5:00 PM – 7:30 PM) – Fountain Bleu Party
Center located on Miller Road across from the plant.
Employees working 1st shift:
Friday February 10th (8:00 AM – 11:00 AM) – Econoline room inside
the plant and located near the Main Cafeteria.
OPPORTUNITY FAIR AT OHIO ASSEMBLY
PLANT: In conjunction with the retirement packages, we will be
conducting an “opportunity fair” at Ohio Assembly Plant on Wednesday
February 15th from 2 PM to 8 PM and Thursday February 16th from 7 AM
to 11 AM.
Representatives from numerous
universities, vocational schools and franchises as well as
businesses looking for employees will be present during this period.
They will be able to answer any questions you may have regarding
their particular school or organization. The fair will be located in
the hallway by the administrative offices.
HOURLY OPTIONAL EMPLOYEE AND
DEPENDENT LIFE INSURANCE: Limited Open Enrollment Period.
When: NOW through March 6th, 2006, as provided in the UAW/Ford
agreement. Active employees who currently have coverage under the
Employee and Dependent Optional Life Insurance Plan may increase the
amount of coverage one level only during the specified period
regardless of their health history. To obtain the enrollment forms,
contact the Optional Insurance Plan office at 1-800-742-8215. For

LIFESTYLE MANAGEMENT: Sign-up
for the Lifestyle Management Workshops begins on Monday February
6th, 2006. For further information, please contact Claudia in the
Learning Center at 933.1414, Ray Berisko at 933.1399 or Linda at the
union hall at 934.3151 Ext. 21.
COSTCO MEMBERSHIP: A special
group rate offer from COSTCO Wholesale Club will be available at the
local union hall on Thursday and Friday February 16th & 17th, 2006
from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. This offer will
only be available at the hall on the above dates. New and renewed
memberships include two cards and a free gift. Cash, checks or
American Express will be accepted. Costco will provide sample
refreshments. For further details call the union hall at 934-3151
ext 21.
BJ’S WHOLESALE CLUB: Now
through Friday March 31st, a $30.00 membership fee includes a
primary card, as well as a free card to a spouse or household
member for a 15-month membership. Offer is good for new and renewed
memberships. Applications are available only at the union
hall.
UAW / NATIONAL CAP MEETING: I,
Tim Donovan, will be out of town attending the National CAP
Conference February 6th through February 9th, 2006. First Vice
President Jerome Williams will be the President during my absence.

UNION MEETING: The next
scheduled union meeting is Sunday February 12th, 2006 at Southview
