INFORMATION BULLETIN - February 1, 2008

TENTATIVE SATURDAYS: Chairman Nick Gallogly has been advised by the company that February 9th and February 23rd have been tentatively scheduled for mandatory Saturdays. As always, schedules are subject to change.

REMINDER: SPECIAL ELECTION TO BE HELD:

DATE: Thursday, February 7th, 2008
WHERE: THUNDERBIRD ROOM (In the Administration Building next to Human Resources)
TIME: 5:00 AM until 12:00 AM (Midnight)

A Run-Off Election will be held (if necessary) on Thursday, February 14th, 2008 at the same location from 5:00 AM.

Members must present their Ohio Assembly ID card or other suitable identification at the time of voting.

Below is the list of candidates for the respective offices, along with their numbers that will be on the ballots:

GENERAL ELECTION INFORMATION: At the last monthly membership meeting, a motion was made and supported to explore having the General Election on both the Abbe Road and Miller Road sides of the plant. The company’s response in part was that they have no issue following the pattern set in the past and they respectfully declined the request for more than one location. They will not be able to support two voting locations from a facility prospective.

Pending confirmation of availability of trailers, voting machines and membership approval, the General Election will be May 6th, with the Runoff Election to be held on May 13th, if necessary.

NEXT UNION MEETING: The next monthly membership meeting will be at 2:30 PM on February 10th at UAW Local 2000 Union Hall, 3151 Abbe Road, Sheffield Village, Ohio.

MEETING AGENDA: ELECTION COMMITTEE NOMINATIONS: Nominations for a standing Election Committee consisting of nine (9) members shall take place at the February membership meeting. Anyone interested in running for the Election Committee MUST be nominated at the February 10th membership meeting at the local union hall. The meeting starts promptly at 2:30 PM.
