INFORMATION BULLETIN - February 17,
2003UNIT TO UNIT MOVEMENT: Anyone in
Unit 1, wishing to be part of the solicitation for movement from Unit
1 to Unit 2, may sign-up in Human Resources. The solicitation will
start at 5:30 a.m. on Monday, January 13th and end at 5:30 a.m. on
Thursday, January 16th.
CHILDREN'S BOOK DRIVE: Friday,
January 17th, between 1:30 P.M. and 5:30 P.M., we will be collecting,
at all gates, new and used children's books to donate to Lorain's
Harrison Cultural Center to develop a community library. So, if you
have any children's books in your house no longer loved and used and
would like to donate them, please do so. You can also drop them off at
the local union hall.
FINANCIAL INFORMATION: Where do
you get your financial information? Come meet with an insurance and
financial products professional who will assist you in planning for:
Retirement, Life Insurance, College Funding, Estate Conservation and
Long-term Care, on Tuesday, January 14th, from 2:00-4:00 and 5:00-7:00
or Tuesday, January 21, 2:00-4:00 & 5:00-7:00. Meeting will be held at
the local union hall. There is limited seating available. If
interested, please contact Karen Caponi at 216-643-8326.
ORDER BANK: As of Thursday,
January 9th, the order bank was 13,204.
MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. DAY: Our
next paid holiday, is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Monday,
January 20, 2003. You must work the day after, Tuesday, January 21st,
or have an excused absence for that day to receive holiday pay, but
MUST work your next scheduled day. Example: If you have January
21st and 22nd off with an excused absence, you STILL MUST WORK
Thursday, January 23rd, to get paid for the holiday.
BLOOD DRIVE: The American Red
Cross will be conducting a blood drive at the Ohio Assembly Plant,
Thunderbird Conference room on Thursday, January 23, 2003 from 12:00
P.M. to 5:00 P.M.
