LOCAL NEGOTIATIONS: Local negotiations are still ongoing. Copies of the local contract highlights will be in the plant as soon as possible after a tentative agreement is reached. Once a tentative agreement has been reached, you will be notified of a meeting time and place for voting on the local agreement.

UNIT 1 ECONOLINE $250 COMPETITIVENESS BONUS will be paid in December of 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 upon achievement of mutually identified metrics. This year, the Competitiveness Bonus will be payable during the week ending Dec. 11th.

UNIT 1 ECONOLINE PROFIT SHARING: Accelerated payment of partial profit sharing payments will be distributed on Thursday, December 15th. The average payout will be $3,752. You may elect to receive your profit sharing distribution by check or direct deposit, contribution to TESPHE accounts or you may direct your funds into a Ford Interest Advantage (FIA) account. Your election period will run from November 14th until November 22nd.

JDRF & FEED THE NEEDY GATE COLLECTIONS: A total of $1,560.35 was collected for Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund (JDRF) and $2000.00 was collected for Feed the Needy. We thank all who volunteered and contributed.

THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY: Unit 1 Econoline members have November 24th, Thanksgiving and November 25th - Day after Thanksgiving off but must work Wednesday, November 23rd or have an approved absence to be paid for the holiday. Unit 4 Voith members also have November 24th and 25th off but must work both the day before and the day after the holiday to be paid for it. Unit 5 Source Providers members have Thanksgiving Day off and must work both the day before and the day after the holiday to be paid for it.

LUNCH WITH SANTA: The Women’s Committee is sponsoring Lunch with Santa on Sunday, December 11th from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM at UAW Local 2192 (the old Local 425 Hall), 5300 Baumhart Road, Lorain, Ohio 44053. Tickets are $5 each and will be sold by Women’s Committee members at the plant and at Local 2000 on Friday, December 2 from 2:00 – 5:00 PM. The committee will also be raffling off a black PS3 with 160 GH/GO for a $5.00 donation. Raffle will be held during Lunch with Santa.

THE 53RD ANNUAL UAW REGION 2-B BOWLING TOURNAMENT will be held at Jug’s Bowling Center located at 5111 Jackman Road, Toledo, OH 43613. The selected weekends are January 21st & 22nd, January 28th & 29th and February 4th & 5th. The deadline for entries is November 30th, no exceptions. UAW-CAP MEETING will be at the hall on December 1st at 6:00 PM. Judge Jim Burge will be the guest speaker.
