LOCAL NEGOTIATIONS: Local negotiations are still ongoing. Copies of the local contract highlights will be in the plant as soon as possible after a tentative agreement is reached. Once a tentative agreement has been reached, you will be notified of a meeting time and place for voting on the local agreement.

PROFIT SHARING: Accelerated payment of partial profit sharing will be distributed on Thursday, December 15th. This date was later than was first communicated because it required extra time to make sure the requested alternate distribution methods were properly established. You may elect to receive your profit sharing distribution by check or direct deposit, contribution to TESPHE account or you may direct your funds into a Ford Interest Advantage (FIA) account. Your election period will run from November 14 until November 22nd.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR ISSUE 2 GET OUT THE VOTE: Volunteers are needed at the union hall for phone banking this week during business hours (8:30 am to noon, 1:00 PM to 5 PM). ANNUAL THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE BENEFIT SPAGHETTI DINNER is on Sunday, November 6th at the V.F.W. Post 1662 in Amherst from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for seniors and free for children under 10. There will also be 50/50 raffle and Chinese raffles. All proceeds will benefit the needy in Lorain County. Please bring a non-perishable food item with you to this event. Tickets are available in the plant from the ERC’s and are also available at the union hall during normal business hours.

JDRF GATE COLLECTION: A gate collection will be held November 10th to collect money for the JDRF.

ELECTION DAY IS TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 8TH. There are many important offices and issues on the ballot that will ultimately affect us all. Please research the issues and vote for candidates that support workers and middle class Americans. A *NO* vote on Issue 2 is strongly encouraged.

NEXT PAID HOLIDAY: Veterans Day will be observed on Monday, November 14th. Unit 1 Econoline must work Tuesday, November 15th or have an excused absence to be paid for the holiday. Voith and Source Providers Unit members must work the last regular scheduled day prior to the holiday and the day following the holiday to be paid for it.

FEED THE NEEDY GATE COLLECTION: A gate collection will be held November 17th to collect money to purchase food for the needy within Lorain County. There will be a lottery board and baskets raffled off at the plant during the month of November.
