REVISED TENTATIVE DOWN WEEKS:
The company advised Chairman Nick Gallogly that the following
are tentative down weeks: October 4th and November 8th. As
always, the work schedule is subject to change.
*REMINDER* NEXT PAID HOLIDAY
IS MEMORIAL DAY, Monday, May 31st. Members on the 4-day work
schedule will be paid ten (10) hours’ holiday pay. Members on
the 5-day work schedule will be paid eight (8) hours’ holiday
pay. You must work Tuesday (the day after the holiday) or have a
proper excuse to be paid holiday pay.
ETAP REINSTATED:
Employee Tuition Assistance Plan (ETAP) is reinstated effective
June 1st, 2010 for active employees. The nationwide grievance
was settled without precedence to any other issue. We would like
to thank all of our members who signed the grievance and made
this possible. Applications for terms beginning after June 1st,
2010 will be accepted provided they meet the established program
guidelines. Employees that had classes with a start date of May
4th, 2010 or after have 45 days to submit the class for review
and approval for tuition assistance purposes. Apply online at
www.myuawford.com. Contact the Tuition Assistance Hotline at
1-800-367-3829 or our plant ERC’s if you have any questions.
Please note: The UAW/Ford Dependent Scholarship
Program is still suspended.
ORDER BANK: As of May
26, the order bank was 12,518.
VACATION SHUTDOWN will
be the weeks of July 5th and July 12th.
WILLIAM C. FORD SCHOLARSHIP
PROGRAM: College students who are dependent children and
classified undergraduate sophomores for the fall 2010 term
may be eligible for a one-time $1500
scholarship. Applications and further information may be picked
up at the union hall. Applications must be postmarked by July
1st.
*REMINDER* PAYCHECKS AND
STUBS WILL NO LONGER BE DISTRIBUTED LOCALLY beginning pay
ending June 6th, 2010. At that time, your paycheck will be
mailed to your last known address on record. Please be sure your
address is up to date with the company!!! If you have not yet
accessed PayStub Online and changed your password, please do so,
as most employees’ default passwords expired April 15th.
Passwords must be changed at the plant on the Ford Intranet at
www.changepassword.ford.com. If your password has expired, call
the help desk at 1.888.317.4957 or dial 1386 from in-plant
phones. Please remember: Passwords expire every 90
days.
TWO GOLF THREESOMES NEEDED:
Two threesomes are needed from our membership to golf in the
Great Lakes Organized Labor Management Council’s 16th Annual
Golf Outing on Saturday, July 24th at Bob O’ Link Golf Course in
Avon, Ohio. The entry fees are prepaid. Those
interested must come to the union hall with a list of their team
members Monday, June 7th through Friday, June 11th between the
hours of 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM (noon) and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. A
random drawing will be held for the teams to represent Local
2000 at 4:30 PM in the main cafeteria on Monday, June 14th.
No lost time or expenses will be paid for those attending.
MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP MEETING:
the next monthly membership meeting will be at the Local
2000 Union Hall, 3151 Abbe Road, Sheffield Village, Ohio on
Sunday, June 13th at 2:30 PM.
PREMIER UNIT MEETING:
Due to Premier Unit membership action at the May meeting, the
PREMIER UNIT’S monthly membership meetings for June, July and
August are cancelled.
