ELECTION RESULTS: The
Constitutional Convention Delegates are Tim Rowe, Tim Donovan,
Michael Donovan, Mary Springowski and Roy J. Escandon. The
Alternate Constitutional Convention Delegate is Nick Gallogly.
John Baldo was elected District Committeeperson. Congratulations
to all who were elected. On behalf of all the candidates,
thank you to all who took the time out to vote in this election.

REVISED TENTATIVE DOWN WEEKS:
the following are tentative down weeks: August 30th, September
27th and October 11th. As always, the work schedule is subject
to change.
VACATION SHUTDOWN: Vacation
shutdown will be the weeks of July 5th and July 12th.
ORDER BANK: As of May 5, the
order bank was 9,958.
SCHOLARSHIP WINNER:
Congratulations to Timothy James Brock and his parents, Tim and
Brenda Brock. Timothy won one of the $10,000.00 (ten thousand
dollar) scholarship awards that are awarded to the children of
UAW members in Region 2-B. Timothy is Local 2000’s third
recipient of the UAW Region 2-B Richard T. Gosser Scholarship in
four years. Timothy’s father, Tim Brock, is a pipefitter in our
plant.
UAW FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP:
Applications are available at the union hall for the 2010 Walter
and May Reuther UAW Family Scholarship being held at the UAW
Education Center at Black Lake in Onaway, Michigan on the weeks
of July 11-16, July 18-23 and July 25-30. A $50.00 refundable
registration fee must be submitted with the application. Members
must use vacation time, personal time or take a union leave of
absence to attend.
NEXT PAID HOLIDAY – MEMORIAL
DAY: Monday, May 31st. Members on the 4-day work schedule will
be paid ten (10) hours’ holiday pay. Members on the 5-day work
schedule will be paid eight (8) hours’ holiday pay. You must
work Tuesday (the day after the holiday) or have a proper excuse
to be paid holiday pay.
UAW/NATIONAL FORD/SUBCOUNCIL
MEETING: Chairman Nick Gallogly will be out of town attending
the UAW National Ford/Subcouncil Meetings May 11th through May
14th. BC Mike Piscione will replace Nick as Acting Chairman.
Committeeman Jimmy Hall will be replacing Mike Piscione as
Acting BC but staying in his assigned area. Committeeman Chris
Ladikos will be Committeeman in Mike Piscione’s area. BC Michael
Donovan will also be attending the meetings from Monday, May
10th through Thursday May 13th. Committeeman Roy Escandon will
replace Michael as Acting BC but will remain in his assigned
area. Committeeman David Candelario will be Committeeman in
Michael Donovan’s area. Skilled Trades Chairman Pete Filiaggi
will also be attending the meetings Monday, May 10th through
Thursday, May 13th, with Lester Prados replacing Pete.
President Tim Donovan will be
attending the same meetings May 10th through May 14th. First
Vice President Jerome Williams will be the President during my

MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP MEETING: the
next monthly membership meeting will be at the Local 2000 Union
Hall, 3151 Abbe Road, Sheffield Village, Ohio on Sunday, June 13th at 2:30 PM.

monthly unit meeting will be at the UAW Local 2000 Union Hall,
3151 Abbe Road, Sheffield Village, Ohio on Sunday, June 13th at
