U.A.W. 35TH CONSTITUTIONAL
CONVENTION: At the March 14th membership meeting, it was
approved for the Convention Election to elect five Delegates and
one alternate to be held along with the election of one District
Committeeperson in Unit 1 (to fill the 19th position) and an
Alternate Steward for the 1st shift Premier Services Unit at our
plant on Wednesday, April 28th. ALL members of UAW Local 2000
are eligible to run for Convention Delegates.
CANDIDATES: All
candidates should stop at the union hall and get a copy of the
Election and Candidate Rules.
RESOLUTIONS AND
CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS: The deadline for Resolutions and
Constitutional Amendments is 5:00 PM on April 8th. Resolution
forms are available at the local union hall and will be posted
on our web site at www.uawlocal2000.org as soon as possible. The
35th Constitutional Convention will convene in Detroit, Michigan
June 14th through June 17th.
NEXT PAID HOLIDAY: Good
Friday, April 2nd. Note: We no longer have the Monday following
Easter as a paid holiday.
TENTATIVE DOWN WEEKS:
Chairman Nick Gallogly has been advised by the company that the
following are tentative down weeks: July 19th, August 9th,
September 27th and October 11th. As always, the work schedule is
subject to change.
ORDER BANK: As of March
24th, 2010, the order bank was 9,631.
REMINDER - HOURLY OPTIONAL
EMPLOYEE AND DEPENDENT LIFE INSURANCE: The limited open
enrollment period ends April 16th as provided in the
UAW/Ford agreement. Active employees who currently have coverage
under the Employee and Dependent Optional Life Insurance Plan
may increase the amount of coverage one level only during the
specified period regardless of their health history. To obtain
the enrollment forms, contact the Optional Insurance Plan office
at 1.800.742.8215. Representatives will be available at that
number from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. For further information please
contact Benefits Rep. Ron Bills at 934-3151 ext. 29 at the union

FAMILY DAYS / RETIRING OR
TAKING A PACKAGE: Members retiring or taking separation
packages must use their available family days before their last
day of work or they will be lost. We wish those retiring or
taking packages a future of many healthy and happy years.
CORRECT ADDRESS & PHONE
NUMBER NEEDED: It is very important that you keep your
records up to date in order to protect your job and to
receive important notifications regarding the upcoming
elections. If you have moved and/or your phone number has
changed, please go to Human Resources to update your current
information and call or stop by the union hall to be sure our
records here are current. (440-934-3151 Ext. 21).
U.A.W. MARCH OF DIMES
RAFFLE: Raffle tickets will be sold next week on both shifts
throughout the plant for $1 each or 6 for $5. There will be a
list of prizes including UAW Local 2000 T-shirts, ponchos, men’s
hats, large drinking glasses, coffee cups, key chains, etc. The
raffle will be held Thursday, April 1st. For further

COSTCO MEMBERSHIP OFFER:
A special group rate offer for Local 2000 members/Ford employees
from Costco Wholesale will be available at the union hall on
Monday, April 12th and Monday April 19th from 8:30 AM to 12:00
PM and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. This offer will only be available at
the hall on the above dates. Receive a $25 Costco Cash Card when
you join as an Executive Member and apply for a free American
Express card. Join as an Executive or Goldstar Member and
