LINE SPEED REDUCTION: As
stated in the new letter from Chairman Nick Gallogly and Plant
Manager Joe Lee, the company now plans to take the line speed
from 37.5 jobs per hour (JPH) to 32 JPH instead of 30 JPH. There
has been much speculation as to the number of jobs the company
had planned to eliminate. With the 32 JPH line speed, the number
of people impacted will decrease. We feel there is still a lot
of work to be done. As you already know, the line speed has been
brought up to 32 JPH from what it was said to be – 30 JPH. Job
Security Rep John Pena, along with Chairman Nick Gallogly, will
continue to work to change this number to a higher one, which
would reduce the amount jobs that would be eliminated.
