SCHEDULED TENTATIVE
DOWN WEEKS: The weeks of January 26th, February 16th, February
23rd, March 23rd and May 4th are scheduled down weeks. Of course,
this is always subject to change and any changes will be
communicated to you as soon as we are aware.
VACATION SHUTDOWN WEEKS: The
company has advised Chairman Nick Gallogly that the first week of
vacation shutdown is the week of June 29th, 2009 and that the second
week of vacation shutdown is the week of August 17th, 2009. Any
employee that needs two weeks off together must use their
remaining vacation hours after the 80 hours designated for mandatory
vacation weeks.
ORDER BANK: As of 1/15/09, the
Econoline Order Bank is 10,263.
OUR NEXT PAID HOLIDAY is
Martin Luther King Jr. Day, which will be observed on Monday,
January 19th. You must work the day after (Tuesday, January 20th) or
have an excused absence for that day to receive holiday pay. You
must work your next scheduled day. Example: If you have January
20th and 21st off with an excused absence, you must still work
January 22nd to get paid for the holiday.
HOLIDAY CONVERSION: Eligible
hourly employees who work and wish to convert the Martin Luther King
Jr. Day holiday must do so from Monday, January 19th through
midnight on Friday, January 23rd. The books will be open in Human
Resources during that time period.
UNION OFFICES CLOSED: Local
2000 (including the benefits office), UAW Legal
Services and all UAW International offices will be closed on Monday,
January 19th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

week of 1/26/09): You must file for unemployment by calling
1.877.644.6562 or by filing online at http://unemployment.ohio.gov.
Some information for filing your claim is listed as follows:

You must use the claim number
(900063) provided by ODJFS for the week your layoff begins
when filing for unemployment.

access the ODJFS website TWICE or call ODJFS TWICE to receive
benefits.

PLEASE follow the ODJFS
instructions carefully.
**Please start making your first call
or visit to the ODJFS web site starting Sunday, January 25th but
no later than Saturday, January 31st. **Your first call or web
site visit is making application for unemployment
benefits. **Your second call or web site visit is claiming
your unemployment week. **The ODJFS instructions indicate the
last day to make application is Saturday, January 31st. PLEASE do
not wait until that date to file because if you do, you may
encounter a problem that may force you to file late for your
application.
PAYCHECK PICKUP: Paychecks for
pay ending January 25th will be available Friday, January 30th in
the administration building from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
BENEFITS OFFICE HOURS DURING DOWN
WEEK: The Benefits Representative will be at the union hall
during the 1/26/09 layoff period. Office hours will be from 8:30 AM
to 12:00 noon and from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
BENEFITS -- DEPENDENTS’ AUDITS:
Ford Motor Company is continually running audits on eligible
dependents on your health care coverage. If you have a son or
daughter or ex-spouse who is no longer eligible to be covered, it is
YOUR responsibility to call the N.E.S.C. and have them
remove that person or persons. Their phone number is 1-800-248-4444.
We have many members who are repaying the premiums back that were
originally paid by the company for dependents who were not removed
in a timely manner. In order for someone to be an eligible
dependent, you must have claimed him or her as a dependent on your
1040 tax return. If you have any questions please call Ron Bills,
Benefits Representative, at 440-934-3151 extension 29 at the union
hall on Tuesdays and Thursdays or 440.933.1071 at the plant on
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays).
