Information Bulletin
FEBRUARY 20, 2006

TENTATIVE SATURDAYS: This Saturday, February 25th, production is scheduled for both shifts. The company has advised Chairman Nick Gallogly and the Bargaining Structure that there will be mandatory Saturdays for both shifts on March 11th and March 25th, 2006. Please note: schedules are always subject to change.

RETIREMENT SPECIAL PROGRAM CLOSES: The window of opportunity to sign up for any of the five (5) retirement incentive packages closes at 5 PM this Thursday, February 23rd, 2006. No applications will be accepted after 5 PM.

FORD’S PARKING POLICY: The Local 2000 Union Leadership disagrees with the bulletin that the company issued on parking at Ohio Assembly, as written. This is not to say that there may be something that could be agreed to, if we were asked for our input. There have been many questions about motorcycle parking. As of now, Ford doesn’t make a motorcycle, so the parking will remain the same.

UNEMPLOYMENT INFORMATION: For those members who may take a temporary layoff: The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) no longer has unemployment forms. You must file for unemployment by calling 1.877.644.6562 or by filing online at http://unemployment.ohio.gov. Some information for filing your claim is listed as follows.

  1. You must use the claim number provided by ODJFS for the week your layoff begins when filing for unemployment.

  2. PLEASE NOTE: You must access the ODJFS website or call ODJFS TWICE to receive benefits.

  3. Full details and instructions are available in Human Resources and at the union hall.

UNEMPLOYMENT DETERMINATION: Members who may take a temporary layoff must take their ODJFS Determination Notice to Human Resources to file for sub pay for your waiting week. This will start your auto sub.
